Look what the cat dragged in…

One week after being born, six baby skunks were abandoned by their mother. Luckily, we had just weaned five kittens off of our resident farm cat a day before and hoped that perhaps she might take them on as her own. She was reluctant at first, but she let them nurse - a positive sign. Two weeks have gone by and the six little “Stinkers” are thriving and their new mom couldn’t be happier. She has become quite devoted to them and even carries them around to show them off to visitors.

Look at those little stinkers– so cute!

Thanks to Louie for sharing this odor-ific story.

Nuclear Kitty

Kay says: My boyfriend was trying to get a cute pic of our cat Burston under our Christmas tree. We were surprised at how creepy this pic came out.

Evil kitty

Aw, poor little Burston! We’re sure he’s a doll under those nuclear eyes.

As creepy as these photos can be, we all have them. Why don’t you share yours? I’ll post some creepy ones of our crazy kitties, too.

Thanks for the submission, Kay! Keep ‘em coming!

Speaking of water bills…

OK…this is pretty hilarious!!! Read this story and THEN watch the video…

Jennifer and Jim kept getting huge water bills. They knew beyond a doubt that the bills weren’t representative of their actual usage and no
matter how they tried to conserve, the high bills continued. Although they could see nothing wrong, they had everything checked for leaks or problems: first the water meter, then outdoor pipes, indoor pipes, underground pipes, faucets, toilets, washer, ice maker, etc…

All to no avail.

One day Jim was sick and stayed home in bed, but kept hearing water running downstairs. He finally tore himself from his sick bed to investigate, and stumbled onto the cause of such high water bills. Apparently this was happening all day long when they were not at home.

Knowing that few would believe him, he taped a segment of the problem for posterity.

Clicking on this link will open the video in a new pop-up window.

Kitties at the Watering Hole

Jackie says:
This picture takes place in our old apartment back in NYC. Morning, noon, and night, our kitties would get in line to drink from the tub faucet. To this day, my husband and I can’t take a shower in peace! My friend just caught them at this moment. They were all so polite as they lined up for a drink–kind of like the big cats at a local watering hole! What makes this photo so poignant is that the little grey one looking straight into the camera, Jub-Jub, has gone over the Rainbow Bridge. I will never forget him scrambling to be first in line!

Kitties at the watering hole

Thanks so much for the submission, Jackie! Love, love, love this beautiful B&W photo. We’re sorry to hear that little Jub-Jub passed over the Rainbow Bridge– sending many purrs and licks to your crazy kitties!
