Age = 5

Breed = Tuxedo (she’s very elegant & has a beautiful, shiny black coat)

Nicknames (from best to worse, depending on her behavior) = Boo, Boo-Boo, Punkin’, Bitch, Evil Bitch from Hell, Spawn of Satan!

Adoption Story = She was the runt of her litter. She was at work in a shoe box (closed with Duct Tape), and was being taken to the vet at lunch to be put down…like that’s the same as going to the bank to cash a check! Co-worker opened the shoebox, and this little black fur ball nuzzled under my chin. I fell in love, and the rest is history. She was a runt, didn’t socialize, had been in 5 homes in 3 weeks, and I got her at 10 weeks age. She had a rough beginning, and I promised her she would live a long, peaceful life…no matter how bitchy she was. I would love her & give her a safe, happy home.

Five years later, we’ve both learned to tolerate each other. I love her, and every now and then she does something that makes me know she loves me. She only sleeps with me in the winter when I have the electric blanket on the bed. Other than that, I wake up at 6 AM with cat butt in my face demanding to be fed. Once I start sneezing uncontrollably, it’s time to get up.

Issues = split personalities, “touched in the head”; don’t look her straight in the eyes and for God’s sake, don’t try to pet her. Traci swears she was dropped on her head as a kitten. If you love her, you will bleed…just be prepared and accept it. I have scars all on my hands and arms. Crotchety beyond all comprehension. The most ungrateful animal that was ever conceived. That said, the first time she hopped up on the recliner, snuggled between my knees, and went to sleep, I was overcome. I knew that despite her issues, she trusted me, she loved me, and we were together for life. So, what’s a little bleeding when I try to pet her? We were meant for each other. My two friends from work (Dave and Traci) both have cats and have told me she’s lucky to have found me, cuz no one else would have her. For 5 years, she’s been my best friend, and I look forward to many more. I have plenty of Band-Aids and anti-biotic cream, so we’re set!
