Vince Searches for True Love

Since he resolved to find true love in 2007, Vincent has been trying to win over just about anyone and anything. Has he had any luck?

Vince tried to show off for Hot Dog. Hot Dog wasn’t too impressed.

Of course, Vincent had me at “meow.” Not much of a challenge there.

He did manage to win over our friend, Troy.

But when he’s lonely, Vince knows he can always count on an easy target– the couch.

When it comes to finding love, Vincent will never give up.

Look what the cat dragged in…

One week after being born, six baby skunks were abandoned by their mother. Luckily, we had just weaned five kittens off of our resident farm cat a day before and hoped that perhaps she might take them on as her own. She was reluctant at first, but she let them nurse - a positive sign. Two weeks have gone by and the six little “Stinkers” are thriving and their new mom couldn’t be happier. She has become quite devoted to them and even carries them around to show them off to visitors.

Skunk kitties

Look at those little stinkers– so cute!

Thanks to Louie for sharing this odor-ific story.

Just Another Friday Night

Friday nights at our house generally involve a TGIF cocktail, some TiVo catch-up, and, for Chris, falling asleep on the couch at an unholy early hour.

Last night, Chris fell asleep with the dog, his guitar, a pack of cigarettes, and a few kitties. I was laughing so hard I could barely keep the camera still to get this photo.

Friday night

I love home :)

The (d-o-g) Makes an Appearance

Yes, we have a dog. Well, rather, Chris has a dog. In a house run by cats, Oyster (the dog) is a bit out of place. Even though Oyster’s pushing 90 lbs, the cats taunt him and swat at him and Oyster always backs off.

The only thing that Oyster can hold against the cats is that he gets to go outside and the cats don’t. When he goes out to do his business, the cats follow him from inside the patio and howl at him.

Don't Mind Me

Wheee!!

Hiss!
